Charleston Chew first came out during the 1920s. A chewy chocolate nougat core, surrounded by a chocolate coating. This candy bar was named after a popular dance at the time, "The Charleston". Like the dance, the Charleston chew swept across the nation! Some people like to freeze their Charleston chews, crack them and eat them frozen. Whichever way you eat a Charleston chew they always make for a delicious old-fashioned candy treat!
